Reporting to the Constellation Program Manager, the Associate Acoustic Engineer aids in the design of acoustic and absorptive systems and products. Prepares acoustic reports and proposals for possible solutions for acoustic problems. Maintains and manages acoustic testing equipment inventory. Provides logistical support for the research and technical support related project’s teams. Acoustic data acquisition measurements and detailed analysis and reporting. This is an exempt position.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aid in acoustic design using AutoCAD
Prepare acoustic reports and proposals for possible solutions for acoustic problems
Maintain and manage acoustic testing equipment inventory
Provide logistical support for the research and technical support related project’s team
Acoustic data acquisition measurements and detailed analysis reports
Visit project sites to conduct installation inspections, and assist with system calibration
Perform acoustic tests, analyze results and write reports on findings that includes
recommendations
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Bachelors of Science degree and a minimum of 2-3 of years related acoustics or related experience.
Strong knowledge of acoustic measurement/analysis of reverberation time, reflection arrival and background noise
In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, MATLAB
Knowledge of InDesign, SIM, EASE, ODEON and Digital audio workstations a plus
Strong writing, organizational and communication skills
Proficient at MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must be familiar with acoustic materials and measurement tools
Local and international travel required
Must pass a general and criminal background check
